On reading the letter it becomes obvious that there is indeed a great deal of conflicting information occurring with regard to fluoridation. Our perception is that the TGA will classify fluoridation as a “medicine” if their guidelines as to this classification are invoked. If this “medicine” classification is applied then where does this leave Councils, who are medicating our public water supplies with a known medicine without our “informed consent”? What a rigmarole to try and get an answer to a very simple question: This is an excerpt from one of the letters: “One would assume that for pivot to claim on its MSDS, "At the concentrations used in fluoridation of town water supplies, it [FSA] is harmless," that the company would have the data to verify this statement.” For a supplier to claim that it is harmless THEN SURELY THEY WOULD HAVE SCIENTIFIC DATA TO VERIFY THIS! Both of these people have been medically diagnosed as fluoride toxic and this was from living within a reasonable distance of a smelter in another part of NSW.
